| Bidding is the competition for deciding the display cost of advertisement. If you want to display your advertisement in the web page you have to pay for it. And that is on search engine. |

| There are three competitors (A,B,C) who want to exhibit their advertisement on the search engines page for specific say “Seo”. Now suppose A has bid for 100 $per click, B has bid for 300$ per click, C has bid for 180$ per click. So here B will be the winner because his bidding is highest. When some one will click with proper keyword on that particular page B person’s add will be displayed first which will be followed by C and A. |
| Unique bidders |
| Normally the unique bidders do not exist on the internet because many bid for same keyword. They could be available in multiples but getting single one is the difficult task. But still the search engine can choose the highest bidder. |
| Bidding on partner’s site |
| On whichever you want to display your add by bidding if that site of search engine is connected with other partners, then your add is also exhibited on their site. One of the best example for this is Overture search engine that is coupled with AOL, AltaVista and Info space. |
